In this four season 4H Club, Garden Corps members will learn about sustainable agriculture, food justice, and develop their hands-on farming skills.  Through planning, planting and maintaining the education garden, caring for and feeding our chickens, and harvesting and preparing meals with the crops we grow, this is an excellent opportunity for a teen looking to develop their leadership skills through an in-depth experience of farming.  Garden Corps is an excellent addition to a college application and may fulfill your school's volunteer or community service requirements.  Successful program participants will be in a good position to apply for the paid summer Field Corps program.

Waltham Fields Community Farm promotes local agriculture and food access through our farming operations and educational programs, using practices that are socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable. We encourage healthy relationships between people, their food supply, and the land from which it grows. Our Learning Garden Programs enable hands-on learning about science and natural ecosystems, crop production and the farm environment, nutrition and food choices, and group cooperation.
